How many times has it happened to you that you have gone to a mall to buy yourself a dress and the salesman came forward asking you “how can I help you?”

What was your response? In most likelihood “no, nothing. I am just looking.” “How can I help you?” is both a dumb and dangerous question with a high possibility of killing the prospect.

Because people like to buy, no one likes to get sold. So you can help the customer to buy by saying something like “Sir/madam can I show you some unique collections which I am sure you will definitely like?”

When you affirm that you know what the customer is looking for and you want to help him in his pursuit, you increase your sales chances significantly.
